Drama on Dean Lane

There was drama on Dean Lane in Bedminster on last week (w/e 5 June).

People have been squatting in the old Salvation Army premises for a few months and the police were there to execute warrants with regards to vandalism and occupation of privately owned premises on Bristol’s High Street.

The Salvation Army building has been adorned with graffiti as long as it has been occupied and the occupiers made special banners for the occasion.

There was three arrest for offences that included affray and affray on an emergency worker but nobody was evicted.

Supporters of the occupiers were watching from the roundabout on the junction of North and Cannon Streets and Dean Lane.
